What does leadership mean to you?
Servant leadership is important to me. Ensuring that I provide resources that enable others to be their best in personal life and in their professional role at their institution. This style of leadership allows for a creative, trusting, and mutually rewarding partnership.
Why is networking/mentoring important?
Networking is important to cultivate leadership opportunities and hone personal/professional skill sets. I have been very enriched by contacts that I have made over the years. The simplest conversation can be a kernel for big ideas in the future!!
Why are you a member of PAACE?
The subtleties of sexism and/or gender discrimination in higher education are still pervasive. PAACE provides a place where women in higher education can find support, professional development, and mentoring – The work that we do is essential to ensuring that women have a place at the table in upper administration in higher ed.
Other: An avid traveler, Cheryl Lynn visits higher education institutions when possible in every country she visits
